Legal information about IAAFI®, how we process personal data and how this website may be used.

Educational purpose of the content

All IAAFI® content is provided for educational and research purposes only. It does not constitute personalized financial advice, an investment recommendation or an offer of financial instruments. Investment decisions require your own analysis and, where appropriate, independent professional advice.

Privacy policy

1. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF APPLIED FINANCE AND INVESTMENT LTD (“IAAFI®”), a private company limited by shares registered in England and Wales under number 16671502. Registered office: 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, WC1N 3AX, United Kingdom.

2. What data we process

This site does not request payment details or special categories of data. Enrollment in the programs takes place on the website of Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja.

  • Webinar registration: it is managed on the platform of Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (UTPL) through Zoom. IAAFI® does not collect the data for that registration on this website; its processing is governed by the privacy policies of UTPL and Zoom.
  • IAAFI® · Investment Insights newsletter: full name, email address and profile (student, professional or institution).
  • Institutional requests and contact form: full name, email address, institution, position, country, phone number, type of need and message.
  • Data attached to the form submission: language, page it was sent from, date and time and, if you arrived from a campaign, its parameters (UTM and referral code) and a random identifier.
  • A record of what you accepted: what, when and which version of the text.

3. What we use it for, and with what permission

  • Managing your request (newsletter subscription, institutional request or contact message). We process the form data after you accept this policy; without it we cannot deal with the request.
  • Sending you IAAFI® communications about programs, webinars and content. The forms currently ask you to accept this purpose together with this policy; you can withdraw that acceptance at any time with the unsubscribe link in each email or by writing to info@iaafi.academy. For the newsletter, receiving it is the very purpose of the subscription.
  • Measuring which channels and campaigns work: only if you accept it in the site's privacy notice.
  • We keep a separate record of each acceptance, with its date and the version of the text.

4. Email confirmation and unsubscribing

  • Newsletter subscriptions require you to confirm your email address (double opt-in). Without confirmation, the subscription is not complete.
  • Every communication includes an unsubscribe link. After you unsubscribe we stop writing to you and keep only the information needed to respect your decision.

5. Providers that process the data

Enrollment at Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja and contact through WhatsApp (Meta) are governed by those organizations' own terms and privacy policies.

6. Joint activities with Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja

When you register for an activity organized together with Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (UTPL), such as a webinar or a joint program, we may share with UTPL the details of your registration for that activity that are relevant to managing it; for example, to coordinate access, participation or enrollment.

We do not share the general contact database or the newsletter list with UTPL. UTPL processes the data it receives under its own terms and privacy policy.

7. Processing outside your country

IAAFI® is a United Kingdom company and the providers listed above may process data on servers located in other countries. The terms that apply to that processing are those each provider publishes at the links in section 5.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as it is needed for the purposes described or until you ask us to erase it. We have not yet set maximum retention periods; once they are defined we will publish them in this policy.

9. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing and to receive it in a portable format, and you can withdraw at any time what you have accepted, by writing to info@iaafi.academy.

If you believe the processing is not correct, you can complain to the United Kingdom's data protection authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). If you live in Ecuador, you can also contact the Superintendencia de Protección de Datos Personales.

10. Local storage and cookies

The details are in the “Local storage and cookies” section of this page. The hosting platform's analytics cookies are disabled; the site uses one technical session cookie required for it to work.

11. Version

Version of October 5, 2026. We will publish any update to this policy on this page.

Local storage and cookies

During your visit we store in your browser's session storage (sessionStorage) the campaign parameters you arrived with (UTM and referral code), a random identifier and your landing page. This information is deleted when you close the tab and is only sent if you submit a form.

If you accept in the privacy notice, this information is kept in local storage (localStorage) for up to 90 days, and we record clicks to UTPL's official enrollment page under a random identifier. You can change your choice at any time from "Privacy preferences" in the footer.

This site does not use its own advertising cookies. The hosting platform may set technical cookies required for it to work.

Terms of use

The full terms of use will be published in this section once reviewed. In the meantime, the legal notice, the educational nature of the content and the privacy policy described on this page apply.

Communications

IAAFI® sends communications about programs, webinars and content to people who accept them on a form. The forms currently ask for that acceptance together with acceptance of the privacy policy; you can withdraw it at any time.

Newsletter subscriptions are confirmed by email (double opt-in). Every communication includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask to unsubscribe by writing to info@iaafi.academy.
